The unveiling of lichen

Just sit watching a tree,

Its leaves waving away

Sit watching a tree,

Leaves waving away,

Watch a tree,

Waving away,

Watch,

See,

Leaves drifting,

Watch a tree,

Leaves drifting away,

Sit watching a tree,

See leaves drifting away,

Just sit watching a tree,

Then you’ll see,

A tree is never bare,

But always clothed.

Lichens are a symbiotic organism of fungi and algae and they come in many forms foliose or leaf like, crustose and fruticose or branching. They are slow growing, in fact many of the Earths geological plates move faster than some lichen grows, and are an indicator of good air quality.
