During the second survey of the day a female Atlantic grey seal was observed swimming in New Quay Bay.

Sightings update
Another beautiful autumn morning in New Quay. The only sighting was of an Atlantic grey seal swimming close to the harbour wall. We think the seal spotted Dave too!
Annual meadow-grass
Annual meadow-grass is a coarse, vigorous grass that can be found on waste ground, bare grassland and in lawns. In some situations, it can be considered a weed.
Purple moor-grass and rush pasture
This distinctive type of damp pasture is generally found on commons, as a component of lowland fen, or in undeveloped corners of otherwise intensively farmed landscapes.
