From 2010-2024, Adrian carried out surveys of important ground nesting birds for the wildlife trust on the former, American Airbase on Greenham common in Berkshire. This involved monitoring nesting Lapwings, Little Ringed and Ringed Plovers and long-term territory mapping of key species such as Woodlark, Dartford Warbler, and Nightingale. Open to the public since 2002, Greenham hosts many rare and interesting species but is under pressure from visitor disturbance.
