Skomer Archaeology Walk 2026

After another sell out year in 2025, Skomer Archaeology is back! This is an exclusive opportunity to join Dr Toby Driver and Louise Barker, both senior archaeologists at the Royal Commission, on a guided archaeology tour of Skomer Island. The trip will visit the best preserved prehistoric roundhouses on the island and will visit Bronze Age burial cairns and standing stones.

This is an exclusive opportunity to join Dr Toby Driver and Louise Barker, both senior archaeologists at the Royal Commission, on a guided archaeology tour of Skomer Island. Louise and Toby have led several excavations on the island over the past decade. The trip will take in the best preserved prehistoric roundhouses on the island and visit Bronze Age burial cairns and standing stones. 

This event is suitable for adults and children over 12yrs.

£17 per person (over 12s only) + plus standard boat landing price (£32).

The event will go ahead in wet weather. Please wear warm waterproof clothing and walking boots or shoes. Please bring a packed lunch and drinks for the day. There are no food or drink provisions on the island. No dogs are allowed on Skomer.
