holding a crab - Matt Slater
Junior Seashore Safari
Event details
Ynglŷn â'r digwyddiad
Come with us on a seashore safari with Emma to discover the wonders hidden in those low-tide rock pools and under seaweedy boulders at Bracelet Bay.
You could find crabs, starfish, anemones, sea sponges - and excitingly, there's even a chance of finding a creature never before seen in Swansea!
Emma is a professional marine biologist and she'll show you how to explore pools and look at some fantastic creatures without harming them. She'll also be able to identify the weird wildlife you find!
You need to wear waterproof grippy shoes as wet rocks and pebbles are slippery and make sure you bring an adult - parents and grandparents will love it too.
This event is most suitable for anyone aged 7 and older.
Please dress according to the weather forecast on the day - sunscreen and hats if it's going to be hot and sunny or waterproofs for showers.
If you've got them, bring white or see-through trays and hand lenses so that you can have a close look at your "finds." All creatures will be carefully returned to the location where they were found.
Adults: Please book via Eventbrite noting the names and ages of the youngsters. Kindly cancel your bookings if you can't make it to free up places for others.
There will be a charge of at least £1 per adult to help cover WTSWW Swansea group funds. Children are free.
Parking is available at Bracelet Bay car park (MI parking location 754326) The Limeslade 2B bus drops off nearby.
Please note that this event is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues.
