Most of this month has been spent pulling ragwort! Rhos Marion, Rhos Glandenys and Caeau Llety Cybi all have plenty and as they are grazed it has to be pulled. It can take several days and visits spread over a few weeks to get it all. (I’m sure we always miss a few as hard as we try!) Luckily the weather has mostly been kind to us- it is more fun to pull in the beautiful sunshine with the butterflies and damselflies all around you than in the pouring rain.
We have also cut some of the rushes at Rhos Glandenys, strimmed the green lane and footpath at Cors Ian and the paths at Coed Maidie B Goddard.
Thank you very much to everyone who has helped this month. If you would like to volunteer with us in Ceredigion there are work parties twice a week out on the reserves, year round, contact Em on 07980 932332 or find out more about Ceredigion reserves.
