The November meeting of the North Ceredigion Section of the Wildlife Trust South and West Wales, was held last Monday evening the 7th of November, attracted a huge turnout of both Section Members and students to Lecture Theatre A6 in the Llandinam Building.
Section Chairman John Wildig warmly introduced Phil Newman from the Countryside Council for Wales, to an audience of well over 100 people. Phil gave a marvellous and wide ranging presentation on the Skomer Marine Nature Reserve, of which he is the Warden. His talk stimulated a very good discussion and it was particularly pleasing to see contributions to this from a goodly number of the students attending. His talk was brought to an end with a very warm vote of thanks from Roger Bray.
The next meeting of the Section will move from the marine environment to the world of birds, and will be on Monday December 5th at 7-30 pm in Lecture Theatre A6. The speaker ----Mike Hayward---will need little introduction as he is a long standing Section Member. Mike will be talking on Bird Photography in Ceredigion. Mike has been a Trustee of the Kite Trust since its onset and his red kite photographs alone are breath taking. A warm welcome is extended to all.
