A very lively day for sightings saw bottlenose dolphin sightings occur across every survey of the day, as well as some sightings of Atlantic grey seals by our LivingSeas volunteers from New Quays harbour wall. High numbers of dolphins were recorded across the day’s surveys with as many as 14 individuals encountered across the 11am survey period. The large male bottlenose known as Lipstick was also identified in the bay during the 1pm survey. As well as a couple of Atlantic grey seals that were seen swimming shortly off the harbour wall across two of the days survey periods.
