Survey Observations

Weather Conditions: Sunny, Wind Direction SE/E, Sea State 1-2

Beautiful conditions and great visibility meant that our Living Seas volunteers were able to carry out surveys throughout the day yesterday. Groups of Bottlenose dolphins were seen in our first and last survey of the day yesterday, with groups seen close to the harbour wall leaping and socialising, as well as foraging near the cardinal marker. Atlantic grey seals were seen swimming along the harbour wall in the morning and afternoon. An exciting bird sighting of a flock of Great White Egrets were seen flying across the harbour in the afternoon.
