Land Based Sightings
May 28, 2018
Weather conditions: Sunny, sea state 1, wind direction variable
Land-based surveys were carried out from 7am to 7pm yesterday, with our Living Seas volunteers, and members of the public alike, being delighted to spot Bottlenose dolphins in every survey through this period. Individuals were observed to be foraging between the headland and cardinal buoy consistently throughout the morning, whilst leaping behaviours were also recorded. A single Atlantic grey seal was also sighted in our first survey of the day, travelling towards the headland.
