Surveys Conducted:

Survey Observations

Weather conditions: fair/overcast, wind direction SE/S, sea state 1-2

Bottlenose dolphins were seen consistently throughout the day, with sightings in every survey carried out by our Living Seas Volunteers. Dolphins were usually seen foraging but became more active in the middle of the day, and were observed leaping by the headland. A lone Atlantic grey seal was seen scanning by the harbour wall in the morning, and another female seal was observed bottling later in the day. Various seabirds including a red knot (pictured) were also sighted.
