Land Based Sightings
June 21, 2018
Weather conditions: Sunny/Fair, Sea state 4, Wind direction: N/NW
Land-based surveys were carried out by our Living Seas volunteers between 7am – 7pm yesterday. Both bottlenose dolphins and Atlantic grey seals were sighting towards the middle of the day, with the public being delighted to spot both foraging and leaping behaviours, from members of our semi-resident dolphin population. Other interesting sightings included an adult Mediterranean gull, a juvenile gannet, and several oystercatchers.
