Land Based Sightings
September 20, 2018
Weather conditions: Rain, Wind direction SE, Sea state 2
It was a difficult day for our Living Seas Volunteers with only the 9am survey being completed due to the poor weather conditions. However, bottlenose dolphins were observed for the entire two hour period, with some showing social behaviours such as leaping and jumping. They were mainly observed by the reef and cardinal buoy, a known feeding site. Other notable sightings include a razorbill and 6 sandwich terns.
