Land Based Sightings
September 8, 2018
Weather conditions: Overcast with rainy showers, Wind direction W/SW/S/NW, Sea state 1-2.
Great sea conditions and visibility meant that wildlife was easily sighted yesterday. Dolphins were sighted throughout the morning until around midday, exhibiting behaviours such as leaping, tail slapping and generally socialising. Regular visitors Jacky and Jay were amongst the group, and were identified quickly by our ShoreFin team. An Atlantic grey seal was also spotted later on in the afternoon by the harbour wall. On our morning boat survey we also saw dolphins, as well as one of the first seal pups of the season.
