A good day for Bottlenose Dolphins encounters saw these animals observed across every survey conducted by our LivingSeas volunteers throughout the day. Many of these animals were observed throughout the morning’s surveys up until 11am, travelling in relatively small groups around the bay and foraging. Sightings of these Dolphins became more intermittent moving into the afternoon, but Bottlenose Dolphin presence in the Bay was still recorded across every survey in the day. Including individuals that are frequent visitors to the bay, such as the large male known as ‘Lipstick’ who was observed across the 1pm survey period.
