Survey Observations

Weather Conditions: Sunny/Overcast, Sea State 1 increasing to 4, Wind direction: SE – SW

A day of high activity; bottlenose dolphins (including juveniles) could be seen in the bay continually from 9am to 3pm yesterday. During the morning some individuals were seen right into the harbour, at times displaying leaps and tail slaps. After 3pm sightings were not recorded, possibly helped by the increasing winds and sea state. A single grey seal was also seen travelling alongside the harbour wall in the morning.
