Seven bottlenose dolphins and five Atlantic grey seals
About three quarters of an hour into the survey three Atlantic grey seals, a male and two females, were sighted in the water. About fifteen minutes later, three bottlenose dolphins, two adults and a juvenile, were observed foraging at depth and travelling with irregular surfacing, thought to be foraging whilst on the move. Shortly after, another bottlenose dolphin was seen that came close to bow-ride the boat and another Atlantic grey seal was seen in the water. After another fifteen minutes, another male Atlantic grey seal was also seen in the water. From half past one, another three individual bottlenose dolphins were seen in quick succession. The first was observed foraging at depth, the second thought to be foraging whilst on the move in a southerly direction and the third travelling with regular surfacing and some leaping in a south-easterly direction.
