30/6/13: Bottlenose Dolphins and Atlantic Grey Seals

Weather conditions: Overcast/ Dull, sea state 2, wind SW
One Bottlenose Dolphin and one Atlantic Grey Seal

One bottlenose dolphin was seen in the first 15 minutes of the survey traveling east towards the cardinal buoy. For the remainder of the first hour, a male grey seal was seen in front of the harbour wall.

Two Grey Seals

Two grey seals, one male and one female, were seen in the middle of the survey in front of, and very close to, the harbour wall.

Weather conditions: Overcast/Dull, sea state 3-4, wind S
One Bottlenose Dolphin and One Atlantic Grey Seal

One bottlenose dolphin was seen throughout the whole survey, remaining in front of the harbour wall. It was thought to be foraging at depths. One Atlantic grey seal was also seen in the second half of the survey, further out, between the cardinal buoy and the fish factory.

One Bottlenose Dolphin and One Atlantic Grey Seal

One bottlenose dolphin, the same as in the previous survey, was seen throughout the survey remaining in front of the harbour wall and moving further out to sea towards the end of the survey. It was also observed throwing fish early on in the survey. One male grey seal was also seen in front of the harbour wall.
