28/10/2017: Bottlenose dolphins and Atlantic grey seals

Three bottlenose dolphins, including a calf, were spotted separately foraging around the bay. They then joined up to forage offshore from the harbour wall before travelling west around the headland.

One Atlantic grey seal was spotted swimming near the wall in the first half an hour.

Four bottlenose dolphins were seen leaping and head slapping near the headland in the middle of this survey, shortly after they were observed also lying at the surface of the water before disappearing. A male Atlantic grey seal was then seen in the water by the harbour wall.

One female Atlantic grey seal was seen bottling near the harbour wall.
