28/09/12: Bottlenose dolphins, Atlantic grey seals and harbour porpoises

One bottlenose dolphin and one Atlantic grey seal

One Atlantic grey seal was seen close to the harbour wall and travelled towards the fish factory. One bottlenose dolphin was seen foraging east of the harbour wall.

Nine bottlenose dolphins

One adult and calf bottlenose dolphins were seen foraging and mingling at the surface near the cardinal buoy. One bottlenose dolphin was then seen foraging near to the harbour wall whilst another two dolphins were travelling east towards the cardinal buoy. Two bottlenose dolphins were spotted foraging at the cardinal buoy, later one was seen travelling north east towards the cardinal buoy. At the end of the survey three bottlenose dolphins were seen foraging north of the cardinal buoy.

Three harbour porpoises and one Atlantic grey seal

Half way through the survey one harbour porpoises was seen foraging north of the harbour wall, two more harbour porpoises were seen foraging, making three in total foraging north of the harbour wall. One Atlantic grey seal was also seen close to the fish factory and moved closer towards the wall at the end of the survey.
