28/05/2013: Atlantic Grey Seals and Bottlenose Dolphins

1.5 hour survey. Start time 09:56
Weather Conditions: sea state 1, visibility >10km, light swell.
Six Bottlenose Dolphins

Within the first 10 minutes of the survey taking place two Bottlenose Dolphins were seen to the right of the boat travelling NW. Within a couple of minutes another two Dolphins were spotted to the left of the boat travelling NW as well. Shortly after an individual Dolphin was spotted bow riding to the right of the boat with a proximity of less than five metres away from the passengers. Nothing else was seen from this point until the boat was docking up again when a Dolphin was spotted travelling NE around the Cardinal Buoy.

One Bottlenose Dolphin.

One Dolphin was spotted travelling West within the first half of the survey, however nothing else was seen.

1.5 hour survey. Start time 13:00
Weather conditions: sea state 2-3, visibility >10km, light swell.
Two Atlantic Grey Seals and three Bottlenose Dolphins.

Within the first five minutes of the survey a Bottlenose Dolphin was spotted displaying foraging behaviour. Two Atlantic Grey Seals were spotted in the water throughout the survey, one of which was a female. In addition within the last five minutes of the survey another two Bottlenose Dolphins were spotted travelling NW.

Weather conditions: sea state 2-3, visibility >10km, light/medium swell.
A small group of Bottlenose Dolphins.

A small group of Bottlenose Dolphins were spotted, however due to a large distance between the volunteer and the group the number in unknown. The Dolphins spotted were travelling West.
