28/04/11 – 3 bottlenose dolphins and 6 Atlantic grey seals

Weather conditions: sea state 1-3, 1-10km becoming >10km, light swell

The first sighting at 10:04, was three adult bottlenose dolphins offshore from New Quay headland. They were foraging and moving in various directions. At 10:19 a male Atlantic grey seal was seen hauled out on some rocks off New Quay headland. The last sighing of the survey, at 11:09 was three female Atlantic grey seals swimming offshore from Trwyn Crou.

Weather conditions: sea state2-3, >10km, light swell

The only sighting of the survey was at 12:22. One adult male Atlantic grey seal was seen hauled out on some rocks off New Quay headland.

Weather conditions: sea state 3-4, >10km, light swell

The only sighting of the survey was at 14:43 when a female Atlantic grey seal was seen in the water offshore from Cwmtydu.
