One bottlenose dolphin was spotted foraging near the fish factory in New Quay.

Two bottlenose dolphins, one Atlantic grey seal, 10 harbour porpoise

One Atlantic grey seal was spotted in the water at the start of the survey just offshore from New Quay headland. The first harbour porpoise was spotted travelling offshore 30 minutes into the survey followed by another ten minutes later. There was an unusual sighting of three porpoises logging at the surface of the water half way through the survey in Aberporth bay and another single porpoise was seen travelling near Llangrannog. Another large group of four porpoises (including one calf) were seen travelling just off the coast of Cwm Tydu with two bottlenose dolphins only being spotted at the end of the survey foraging near the cardinal buoy.
