Nine bottlenose dolphins

Bottlenose dolphins were seen throughout the whole 2hr survey. For the first hour of the survey a bottlenose dolphin was seen foraging close to the harbour wall and two adults and a calf were seen foraging near the Cardinal buoy. Later in the survey more dolphins travelled into the survey to forage near the Cardinal buoy.

Nine bottlenose dolphins

Several bottlenose dolphins were spotted off New Quay head foraging for the first hour of the survey. two more bottlenose dolphins were seen foraging near the cardinal buoy. No dolphins were seen in the last 45 minutes of the survey.

Six bottlenose dolphins

Dolphins were spotted in the second hour of the survey. Four bottlenose dolphins including one calf were seen milling around at the surface between the harbour wall and New Quay head and travelled into the bay. Three more bottlenose dolphins were seen further offshore foraging near the cardinal buoy.

Six bottlenose dolphins

Several dolphins were seen at the start of the survey. a mother and calf were seen very close to the harbour wall, foraging. Several bottlenose were seen offshore from New Quay head, forming two lose groups. Leaping and tails slaps were observed. There were no sightings in the last hour of the survey.
