26/10/2012: Bottlenose dolphins and Atlantic grey seal

2hr survey; start time 09:00
Weather conditions: Overcast/ Dull, sea state 3 – 4, wind E
Six bottlenose dolphins and one Atlantic grey seal

Bottlenose dolphins were seen throughout the survey. They were observed near to the cardinal buoy thought to be foraging at depth. One dolphin was also spotted foraging near to the harbour wall for a short period of time. Some mingling at the surface, leaping and tail slaps was also observed. One Atlantic grey seal was spotted travelling near to the harbour wall.

Weather condition: Sunny, sea state 3, wind NE
Two bottlenose dolphins

Bottlenose dolphin activity was seen throughout the survey. Two bottlenose dolphins were observed at the start of the survey foraging near to the cardinal buoy. One dolphin then left the survey area and one continued to forage near to the cardinal buoy during the rest of the survey.

Weather conditions: Sunny, sea state 3 – 4, wind N/NE
Three bottlenose dolphins

Bottlenose dolphins were observed during the first 45 minutes of the survey. They were near to be cardinal buoy thought to be foraging at depth.
