26/05/2013: Atlantic Grey Seals and Bottlenose Dolphins

1.5 hour survey. Start time 10:30
Weather Conditions: sea state 1-2, visibility >10km, light swell.
One Bottlenose Dolphin and one Atlantic Grey Seal.

A Bottlenose Dolphin was spotted within the first five minutes of the survey displaying foraging behaviour. No more Dolphins were seen throughout the survey however an Atlantic Grey Seal was seen swimming throughout the last 15 minutes.

1.5 hour survey. Start time 12:02
Weather conditions: sea state 1-2, visibility >10km, light/medium swell.
One Atlantic Grey Seal and two Bottlenose Dolphins.

Throughout the last half an hour of the survey, a female Atlantic Grey Seal was spotted hauled out of the water and two Dolphins were spotted leaping and milling. A colony of Razorbills were also seen throughout the survey.

Weather conditions: sea state 2, visibility >10km, light/medium swell.
Three Atlantic Grey Seals.

During the first hour of the survey two grey seals were spotted hauled out of the water, one of which was a female. Nothing was then seen until the end half an hour of the survey when another grey seal was seen displaying diving behaviour heading West.

Three Atlantic Grey Seals.

Throughout the survey three grey seals were spotted, one of which was a female hauled out of the water, the other two (a male and a female) were in the water.

Weather conditions: sea state 2/4, visibility >10km, light-heavy swell.
One Atlantic Grey Seal.

Throughout the survey only one female grey seal was spotted hauled out of the water.
