25/09/12: Bottlenose dolphins and Atlantic grey seal

Three bottlenose dolphins with one juvenile

 

Two bottlenose dolphins were spotted near the cardinal buoy thought to be foraging at depth, shortly after and adult and a juvenile bottlenose dolphin were seen foraging close to the harbour wall. Two bottlenose dolphins were seen travelling in a north westerly direction away from the cardinal buoy.

One bottlenose dolphin and one Atlantic grey seal

 

One bottlenose dolphin was observed foraging out between the fish factory and the cardinal buoy. The dolphin was then spotted foraging closer to the harbour wall. Later in the survey an Atlantic grey seal was seen travelling close past the harbour wall moving east. This Atlantic grey seal was then seen travelling west back in the same direction it came from coming close to the harbour wall.
