Two Bottlenose Dolphins

From mid to end of the survey one bottlenose dolphin travelled from the cardinal buoy area to forage around the fish factory. A further bottlenose dolphin was seen foraging between the fish factory and the cardinal buoy for 45 minutes mid survey.

Four Bottlenose Dolphins

For the first 30 minutes a bottlenose dolphin was fast circling at the surface and leaping near the fish factory and were joined by two more foraging with deeper dives for the remainder of the survey. The group became four at the end of the survey when all were observed chasing fish at the surface.

Six Bottlenose Dolphins

Bottlenose dolphins were observed after 30 minutes; two including a juvenile travelling west towards the fish factory and three with a juvenile foraging around the cardinal buoy, which were joined by another at the end of the survey.

Seven Bottlenose Dolphins

Two bottlenose dolphins were foraging at the cardinal buoy at the beginning of the survey, along with 2 others directly in front of the harbour wall, but further out in line with the fish factory. The pair further out travelled towards the fish factory at one point and then out of the survey area. The two at the cardinal buoy comprised of a calf and mother and they remained at the cardinal buoy through out the survey later joined by further animals, at one point mounting to five animals all at the cardinal buoy.
