25/05/2015: Five bottlenose dolphins, one Atlantic grey seal.

2hr survey. Start time 09:00.
Weather conditions: Overcast, wind direction NW, sea state 2.

Two bottlenose dolphins were observed in the last quarter of the survey period, near the harbour wall, travelling NW with long dives and surfacing at irregular intervals, thought to be searching for prey whilst on the move, with a third dolphin also seen near the fish factory travelling NW with regular surfacing and keeping a consistent heading with determined progress.

Weather conditions: Sunny/fair, wind direction NW, sea state 2.

One Atlantic grey seal was observed in the water half way through the survey period, between the harbour wall and the headland. Two bottlenose dolphins were also seen half way through the survey period beyond the cardinal buoy, one a calf, first travelling east with long dives and surfacing at irregular intervals, before being observed staying with long dives, thought to be foraging at depth, near the cardinal buoy.
