24/09/11: Bottlenose dolphins and Atlantic grey seals

2hr survey. Start time 09:00
Weather conditions: Overcast/dull, sea state 2-3, wind S
Eight bottlenose dolphins

Bottlenose dolphins including one calf were seen throughout the whole survey foraging between the fish factory, north of the harbour wall and around the cardinal buoy. Leaping and tail-slapping was also observed several times throughout the survey period.

Weather conditions: Overcast/dull, sea state 2-3, wind SE
13 bottlenose dolphins and one Atlantic grey seal

Bottlenose dolphins, including one calf, were observed throughout the survey period. The dolphins were seen travelling between the fish factory and cardinal buoy and foraging north of the harbour wall and around the cardinal buoy. Leaping and tail-slapping was also observed. One Atlantic grey seal surfaced north of the harbour wall.

Weather conditions: Mist, visibility <2km (and raining)/overcast/dull, sea state 2-1, wind S, SSW
Two bottlenose dolphins and an Atlantic grey seal

Two bottlenose dolphins were seen throughout the survey, foraging between the cardinal buoy and the harbour wall.  An Atlantic grey seal was also sighted early on in the survey, travelling west in front of the harbour wall.

Six bottlenose dolphins

Bottlenose dolphins were observed throughout the whole of the survey in groups of 2-4, including a mother and calf, foraging off the fish factory.
