24/07/2017: Atlantic grey seal and bottlenose dolphins

A bottlenose dolphin was seen very briefly travelling alone beyond the cardinal marker. No other sightings were recorded.

No marine mammal sightings but approximately 40 oystercatchers were seen.

No marine mammal sightings but black-headed gulls and oystercatchers were seen.

No marine mammal sightings but two oystercatchers were seen.

One Atlantic grey seal was seen bottling close to Dolau beach. One oystercatcher was seen at the base of the harbour wall.

Bottlenose dolphins were seen towards the end of the survey. Initially the dolphins were spotted foraging close to the Fish Factory but had later moved closer to the cardinal marker. One gannet was flying over and diving next to the dolphins. Twelve oystercatchers were also seen flying towards New Quay headland.
