24/07/2016: 20 bottlenose dolphins and 8 Atlantic grey seals

Weather conditions: sea state 1-3, visibility 1-10km, light swell
Nine bottlenose dolphins

There was two bottlenose dolphins including a juvenile spotted in the first 2 minutes of the survey. They displayed foraging behaviour. Later in the survey there was three bottlenose dolphins spotted including a juvenile just 20 metres away from the boat. The dolphins appeared to be travelling south.
Towards the end of the survey there was three adult bottlenose dolphins and one juvenile spotted foraging just 50 metres away from the boat.

Six bottlenose dolphins and five Atlantic grey seals

There was four bottlenose dolphins spotted at the beginning of the survey including two adults, one juvenile and one calf. They displayed behaviour such as leaping and milling. There were five Atlantic grey seals spotted in various areas along the coast. They displayed behaviours such as swimming and bottling in the water. Returning to the bay the same dolphins from the beginning of the survey were spotted again. There was one adult and one juvenile spotted displaying foraging behaviour and throwing fish in the air. There was a rarer sighting of three fulmars nesting along the coast.

Five bottlenose dolphins and three Atlantic grey seals

There was three bottlenose dolphins spotted at the beginning of the survey including two adults and one juvenile just 30 metres away from the boat. They displayed behaviour such as feeding and travelling. There were a total of three Atlantic grey seals spotted in various spots along the coast. Later there was two adult bottlenose dolphins spotted feeding and travelling west.
