23/11/15: Bottlenose Dolphins and Atlantic Grey Seal

2hr survey, start time 09:00
Weather conditions: fair, clouding over towards the last quarter of the survey, sea state 1, wind direction E
Three Bottlenose Dolphins and one Atlantic Grey Seal

Two dolphins were present at the start of the survey 200m off the fish factory. They were staying in this area taking long dives, thought to be foraging at depth. The dolphins gradually moved to within 100m of the harbour wall before returning to the area where they were originally observed. They were joined there by a third dolphin with obvious white markings on its dorsal fin. Shortly after 09:30 there was a brief glimpse of a dolphin close to shore by the fish factory this being the final dolphin sighting of the survey. An Atlantic Grey Seal was seen off the end of the harbour wall towards the end of the surveys first hour. There were no further sightings.
