The first bottlenose dolphin encounter was off the Ynys Lochtyn headland where a mother and a calf were seen foraging, followed by another dolphin seen foraging very close to the shore a few minutes later. On the return leg of the survey two seals were spotted on the coast between Ynys Lochtyn and Cwm Tydu, one hauled out on the rocks and the other in the water.
