Seven bottlenose dolphins

Seven dolphins, including two calves, were seen throughout the survey with two remaining in close proximity to the harbour wall and the other five near to the cardinal buoy. All the dolphins spotted appeared to be diving and foraging.

Eleven bottlenose dolphins

During the first half of the survey, dolphins were diving and foraging close to the harbour wall and the cardinal buoy. During the second half, these dolphins continued the same behaviour but were seen to all be north of the harbour wall, distributed between the fish factory and the cardinal buoy.

Seven bottlenose dolphins

During the survey, seven of the dolphins seen during the previous two hours remained in the same area between the fish factory and the cardinal buoy. Approximately half an hour into the survey, many of the dolphins began to travel west past the fish factory, with just two remaining close to the cardinal buoy.

Five bottlenose dolphins

A group of four dolphins was seen during the first half an hour of the survey offshore from the fish factory. These dolphins then travelled west. One lone dolphin remained close to the harbour wall throughout.
