One Atlantic grey seal

Half way through the survey period, an Atlantic grey seal was spotted bottling just in front of the harbour wall. The seal continued to bottle in the same position for the remainder of the period.

One Atlantic grey seal

About half an hour into the survey period, a male Atlantic grey seal was spotted in the water in front of the harbour wall. The seal continued to disappear and pop up in the same position for the remainder of the survey period.

One Atlantic grey seal and one bottlenose dolphin

The same male Atlantic grey seal seen in the last survey period was still briefly present in the water in front of the harbour wall at the beginning of the survey period, before it travelled north and disappeared for the remainder of the period. Half way through the survey period a bottlenose dolphin was sighted north of the harbour wall, travelling in an easterly direction with irregular surfacing. It briefly travelled past the cardinal marker before moving north and disappearing.

Five bottlenose dolphins

Half way through the survey period, two bottlenose dolphins, one a calf, were sighted travelling east past the harbour wall with irregular surfacing. The pair briefly milled around at the surface in front of the harbour wall before disappearing. Shortly after, three bottlenose dolphins, one a calf, were seen travelling fast with leaping north-east past the cardinal marker. Towards the end of the survey period, all five bottlenose dolphins, composed of two pairs and a lone individual, were seen travelling west between the harbour wall and the cardinal marker with irregular surfacing.

Two Atlantic grey seals and one bottlenose dolphin

Half way through the survey period, two Atlantic grey seals were seen in the water. One individual popped up in front of the harbour wall, with the other seen close to the headland. A lone bottlenose dolphin was also briefly seen, travelling slowly west towards the headland before disappearing.
