21/08/11: 12 Bottlenose dolphins and two Atlantic grey seals

Four bottlenose dolphins including two calves

Our first sighting was just down the coast from New Quay head of a mother and calf travelling slowly in a south westerly direction. The next sighting was of another mother and calf foraging near New Quay head on the returning journey.

Four bottlenose dolphins including two calves.

The first sighting was near the fish factory of a mother and calf foraging, and the next sighting was also of a mother and calf foraging just past the fish factory on the return journey.

Two bottlenose dolphins and one Atlantic grey seal

A mother and calf bottlenose dolphin were spotted foraging just down the coast from New Quay head; and a female Atlantic grey seal was found in the water by the cliffs between New Quay head and Cwmtydu.

Two bottlenose dolphins and an Atlantic grey seal

A male Atlantic grey seal was found in the water between New Quay head and Cmwtydu. Two adult bottlenose dolphins were spotted in New Quay harbour foraging for food.
