20/07/2014: Bottlenose dolphins and Atlantic Grey seals

Nine bottlenose dolphins

Three bottlenose dolphins were immediately seen close to the cardinal buoy foraging and travelling west. A further three bottlenose dolphins were seen 20 minutes later, consisting of two adults and one juvenile travelling west close to Newquay head. Towards the end of the survey a further three dolphins, including one juvenile were seen tail slapping and milling on the surface.

Two adult bottlenose dolphins were seen foraging near Newquay head at the beginning of the survey, with three grey seals seen an hour in close to Cwmtydu.

One Atlantic Grey seal

One grey seal was seen in the water close to Cwmtydu towards the end of the survey.
