20/06/2015: 9 bottlenose dolphins, 2 atlantic grey seals & 1 harbour porpoise

2hr survey. Start time 10:42.
Weather conditions: sea state 2-3, visibility 1-10km, light swell.

During this survey there were two sightings of bottlenose dolphins in the harbour area at the beginning and end of the survey. Both of these sightings consisted of three bottlenose dolphins with one group consisting of one adult and two juveniles and the other being two adults and one juvenile, both of these groups were observed to be foraging.

Weather conditions: sea state 2, visibility >10km, light swell.

During this survey we had four marine mammal sightings the first of which occurred in the harbour area as three bottlenose dolphins, two adults and one juvenile, who were observed to be foraging. The second sighting on this trip was a harbour porpoise which was observed to be travelling in an easterly direction. The last two sightings of the day were both female grey seals the first was observed to be hauled out whilst the other was spotted in the water.
