19/08/12: bottlenose dolphins, one Atlantic grey seal and one sunfish

6 bottlenose dolphins including one calf.

Throughout the survey, six bottlenose dolphins including one calf were observed travelling west, foraging at depth and leaping in the area between the fish factory and the Cardinal buoy.

Weather conditions: overcast/dull, rain; sea state 0; wind direction: S
One Atlantic grey seal and one sunfish.

During the survey, one Atlantic grey seal was spotted in the water near the Harbour wall. Later one sunfish was seen near the Cardinal buoy.

4 bottlenose dolphins including two calves.

Four bottlenose dolphins including two calves were spotted near the fish factory and near the Cardinal buoy. They were thought to be foraging at depth, taking long dives.

Weather conditions: fair, sunny, sun and showers; sea state 0-1; wind direction: SE, NW, NNW
5 bottlenose dolphins including one calf.

At the beginning of the survey, three bottlenose dolphins including one calf were observed near the Cardinal buoy. They were thought to be foraging at depth. Later two adult dolphins joined them; they were mingling at the surface near the Cardinal buoy.
