12 bottlenose dolphins

In total 12 dolphins were seen during this sighting. At first one individual was travelling by, disappearing past the fish factory. Then another two showed up, traveling by and milling at the surface, north of the wall. Halfway through this survey two other individuals popped up north of the wall, leaping. A third individual joined this group while the other group of two disappeared from view. At the end of the survey the group of three was still leaping while another two were seen leaping behind the cardinal buoy and two separated individuals came into the area from past the fish factory. One of them was travelling east in irregular intervals while the other one was milling around the surface near the fish factory.

2hr survey: Start time 17:00.
Weather conditions: sunny/fair/overcast, sea state 2, wind direction NW.
13 bottlenose dolphins

In the beginning of this survey still six individuals were seen from the previous survey, split up in four groups, of which two were leaping and the other two groups were travelling north-westerly. Later one individual was seen doing long dives just a bit right of the cardinal buoy, expected to be foraging at depth. Halfway through this survey one of our adopted dolphins, Connie, was foraging in the harbour while still another three individuals were leaping further out north of the wall. After Connie left the harbour another three individuals showed up leaping north of the wall, while the other three were travelling westwards. Also one individual was seen on its own far north from the wall. Around 18:30 all individuals disappeared from view.
