18/09/12: Bottlenose dolphins and Atlantic grey seal

Weather conditions: Fair/ sunny, sea state: 3, wind direction; NW.
Three bottlenose dolphins including one calf

Three bottlenose dolphins were observed throughout the survey. At the start of the survey one adult and one juvenile dolphin were observed foraging near the cardinal buoy. The third dolphin was observed travelling near the harbour wall. The dolphins formed a group north of the harbour wall and were observed foraging. The adult and juvenile later left the survey area and one dolphin remained foraging near the harbour wall.

One bottlenose dolphin

One bottlenose dolphin was observed towards the end of the survey foraging near the cardinal buoy.

Two bottlenose dolphins

Two adult bottlenose dolphin were observed for the first 1hr and 15 minutes of the survey foraging near the cardinal buoy.

One Atlantic grey seal

One male Atlantic grey seal was observed travelling from the harbour wall area towards the fish factory.
