18/07/11: Bottlenose dolphins and Atlantic grey seals

2hr survey. Start time 9:00
Weather conditions: overcast/dull & rain, sea state 4, wind NW/SW 
One Atlantic grey seal

During the first survey one female Atlantic grey seal was seen between 9:45 and 10:00 swimming around the harbour area.

Two bottlenose dolphins

The first hour of the survey was quiet. At 12:00 on bottlenose dolphin was seen and at 12:15 a calf was also seen with the adult. They were seen off the harbour wall foraging and chasing prey. They were seen for the remainder of the survey.

Weather conditions: rain, sea state 4, wind SW 
Two bottlenose dolphins

Throughout the third survey one adult bottlenose dolphin was seen with a calf around the harbour wall area. They were foraging for most of the survey then at 14:45 they were seen travelling out of the area towards the fish factory.

Five bottlenose dolphins

During the final survey three bottlenose dolphins were present at the start including a calf they were seen off the harbour wall travelling and foraging. At 9:15 two more bottlenose dolphins including another calf had joined the group. They were all seen travelling and foraging around the harbour wall area for the rest of the survey.
