Four bottlenose dolphins and one Atlantic grey seal

Bottlenose dolphins were seen foraging, leaping and bow riding in the first half an hour of the survey. Towards the end of the survey an Atlantic grey seal was spotted in the water near the headland.

Three bottlenose dolphins

At the beginning of the survey two adult bottlenose dolphins were seen foraging and leaping near New Quay Harbour. A further single dolphin was spotted foraging an hour later off Llangrannog.

Six bottlenose dolphins and three Atlantic grey seals

At the beginning of the survey three bottlenose dolphins including a juvenile were seen leaping and foraging near New Quay harbour wall. An hour into the survey a single bottlenose dolphin was seen foraging off Llangrannog. Following this, two female Atlantic grey seals were seen both hauled out on rocks and in the water. A male Atlantic grey seal was also sighted hauled out at Llangrannog. Towards the end of the survey, a bottlenose dolphin mother and a calf were seen foraging around New Quay harbour.
