17/10/11: Bottlenose dolphins and Atlantic grey seals

2hr survey, start time 9:00
Weather conditions: Overcast/dull/rain, sea state 2, wind SW, SSW
Seven bottlenose dolphins including one calf

Bottlenose dolphins were seen throughout the survey, and were seen offshore beyond the fish factory, near the cardinal buoy and near the end of the harbour wall. The dolphins were mainly sighted taking long dives while some were seen to be staying at the surface while circling, leaping or tail slapping. Three dolphins were also seen travelling west offshore with regular surfacing.

Weather conditions were overcast and dull, sea state 2, wind SW
Four bottlenose dolphins including one calf

The bottlenose dolphins were seen right at the beginning of the survey near the fish factory
They were seen at the surface leaping and tail slapping.

Weather conditions were overcast and dull/rain, sea state 2-3, Wind SW
One grey seal

The grey seal was sighted twice during the survey, once in the harbour and once NE of the harbour wall.

One grey seal

The grey seal was sighted at the beginning of the survey, it was seen in the water N of the harbour wall.
