15/10/2017: Bottlenose dolphins, harbour porpoise and Atlantic grey seals

After 75 minutes with no sightings a single adult dolphin entered the bay around the headland and remained foraging north of the harbour wall.

Early in the survey three dolphins were seen north of the harbour wall. They remained foraging between the headland and the Cardinal marker for 45 minutes. An Atlantic grey seal was spotted towards the headland.

An hour into the survey a female Atlantic grey seal was seen bottling north of the harbour wall.

Within the first half hour a harbour porpoise was spotted off shore travelling west past the headland. Shortly afterwards a group of five dolphins including a calf entered the survey area. This group remained within the bay foraging throughout the area until the end of the watch. At times various animals came close to the wall. In the second half of the survey two Atlantic grey seals were seen north of the wall.
