15/10/2015: Six bottlenose dolphins and four Atlantic grey seals

Weather conditions: Fair, sea state 2, wind direction E
Two bottlenose dolphins and one harbour porpoise
At the start of the survey 2 groups of dolphins were seen. One group consisted of a lone dolphin travelling with regular surfacing making determined progress easterly in front of the harbour wall. The other group was of 4, including one juvenile. The group of 4 were staying near the fish factory leaping and breaching. The group of 4 stayed near the fish factory, mostly foraging at depth for an hour. An Atlantic grey seal was seen near the start of the survey and stayed for 30 minutes. Another lone dolphin appeared 45 minutes before the end of the survey and was seen splashing and leaping near the horizon for 30 minutes before disappearing.

Two Atlantic grey seals
Near the start of the survey one Atlantic grey seal of unknown sex was seen in the water travelling east past the harbour wall. Shortly after, another seal of unknown sex was seen swimming near the cardinal marker.

One Atlantic grey seal
Half way through the survey period, one female Atlantic grey seal was seen in the water in front of the harbour wall before quickly disappearing.
