15/10/11: Bottlenose dolphins and Atlantic grey seals

Seven bottlenose dolphins

Bottlenose dolphins were seen throughout the survey period. The dolphins were mostly seen foraging north of the harbour wall with some movement towards the cardinal buoy. Leaps, tail-slaps and breaches were also observed in front of the harbour wall.

Weather conditions: Sunny, sea state 2-1, wind SSW, S
Five bottlenose dolphins

Bottlenose dolphins were seen for the majority of the survey period. The dolphins were observed foraging north of the harbour wall, off the fish factory and around the cardinal buoy. One dolphin was observed leaping and tail-slapping in front of the harbour wall.

Weather conditions: Sunny, sea state 1-2. wind S
Seven bottlenose dolphins and one Atlantic grey seal

Bottlenose dolphins were seen for the majority of the survey period. The dolphins were observed foraging around the cardinal buoy, off the fish factory and north of the harbour wall. Towards the end of the survey the dolphins were seen leaping, tail-slapping and breaching north of the harbour wall. One Atlantic grey seal was seen in the water north of the harbour wall at the start of the survey.

Weather conditions: Fair, sea state 1-2, wind SW
Five bottlenose dolphins

Bottlenose dolphins were only seen at the start of the survey. The five bottlenose dolphins were seen foraging, leaping and tail-slapping offshore from the fish factory.
