Early in the survey period, two Atlantic grey seals were spotted in the water offshore of New Quay, as well as an unidentified cetacean and two harbour porpoise. After two hours of bird sightings including a stormpetrel, manx shearwater, gannets, and guillemots, ten foraging harbour porpoise were spotted over the course of the next hour. Later in the afternoon, sixteen bottlenose dolphins were spotted over the next two hours, foraging, milling, leaping, travelling, and bow-riding. On the last leg returning from Ynys-Lochtyn, two Atlantic grey seals were spotted in the water. Five adult bottlenose dolphins were also seen tail-slapping, resting, and socialising.

On the return journey from Ynys-Lochtyn, two Atlantic grey seals were spotted in the water. One female Atlantic grey seal was seen, as well as one male Atlantic grey seal swimming in a south-easterly direction. On returning to New Quay headland, five bottlenose dolphins were spotted foraging and bow-riding a sailboat.
