2 hour survey, start time 15:00
Weather conditions: overcast/dull/fair, sea state 2, wind SW
7 bottlenose dolphins

Dolphins were seen throughout the survey. At the beginning two dolphins were just off the end of the harbour wall milling around/slowly circling, their behaviour changed to lying motionless at the surface, and then foraging during long dives before disappearing at 16:00. From the beginning there was also one dolphin west of the fish factory and one between there and the harbour wall taking long dives, foraging. They travelled south east towards the wall joined by a third at 15:15 and at 15:30 only one was visible at the end of the wall. At 16:30 three dolphins were south of the buoy, one milling/circling and two taking long dives, foraging. In the last half of the survey four dolphins were south of the buoy taking long dives until 15:45 when they began to mingle. One dolphin remained beside the harbour wall taking long dives, foraging.
